The Bastards of Baseball

This documentary is so much fun to watch (akin to the “The Bad News Bears”) as you see an underdog, independent baseball team composed of a hodge-podge of players go through a metamorphosis.  Kurt Russell’s dad, Bing who was also an actor, is the man who had the passion and vision to transform the scrappy Portland Mavericks from a loser team to a winning team in the 1970’s.  You don’t have to be a baseball fan to love this movie!  On Netflix.
