“Beckham”

Thank you Ruby for highly recommending this 4-part series about David Beckham - soccer great and husband of Victoria.  He’s also one fine looking man - you can literally watch this on mute and still enjoy this visually pleasing biopic.  But keep the volume high because it’s really, really interesting.  Watch how a kid with natural abilities and high motivation is spotted, recruited and contractually/emotionally obligated to a coach and team. The four parts cover his relationships with family, Victoria (who is on camera a lot), coaches and team-mates. Beckham’s style and attention to detail off the field is notable from his choice of hairstyle to clothes to homes.  His life hasn’t been all roses though, and this film (7 years in the making) gives us a perspective of the highs and lows, the “bends” and turns of David Beckham.
