Boxing Phenom Claressa Shields

On March 5, 2021, Claressa Shields, 25 years old,  became the first boxer ever to win four major boxing championships — man or woman —  to reign as undisputed world champion in two different weight classes. She is one of only eight boxers in history, female or male, to hold all four major world titles in boxing. Shields won gold medals in the women's middleweight division at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, making her the first American boxer—female or male—to win consecutive Olympic medals. She has lost only once in her professional or amateur career. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of boxing, but I am in awe of this young woman who grew up in Flint, Michigan very poor and did the work needed to become the best boxer in the world.
