Charlie Bird’s Farro Salad

I am so happy to report that I was a guest at the table and did not make this recipe. I’m even happier to report that it was outstanding! A shout-out to Cousin Hilary for making this complex and deeply satisfying “salad” course that could easily have been an entree. Hilary added lightly oiled/seasoned grilled corn niblets to the recipe that melded perfectly with the avocado, parm cheese and pistachios. The younger generation ran the kitchen that night and presented a far more creative variety of dishes than I ever do. I’ll be a guest anytime you want YOUR recipe featured in BMT!
