Got To Do

I am a list maker.  I actually make little boxes by every item and derive great pleasure each time I can make an “X” in the box.  Conversely, I am disappointed in myself should the box go unticked at the end of the day.  Workouts, appointments, calls, dinner prep, meditate, etc. need to get done, done, done.  But what I didn’t put on my list today that probably gave me the most spiritual pleasure and sense of satisfaction was the 10 seconds I floated on my back in the ocean, ears submerged, looking at the sky.  Listening to the ocean sounds under the surface and allowing my body to be completely relaxed and supported by the salty waters was not on my August 19th “to do” list, but it surely made my figurative “got to do” list.
