Greyhound

I never, ever thought I would willingly watch a WWII movie that truly focused on the fighting rather than on the relationships/subplots but I did last night with my daughter and her friend (not a man in sight!).  Based on a true story, “Greyhound” starring Tom Hanks invites us to go on a 36 hour voyage across the Atlantic.  The Greyhound ship leads a convoy of supply ships while enduring relentless attacks from the Germans.  What these sailors accomplished without the technology available to us today is astounding; I was on the edge of the couch the entire time.
