“Hacks”

LOVE this sharp, quick-witted HBO Max series starring a has-been comedienne (Jean Smart) and her begrudgingly employed 25-year old writer (Hannah Eienbinder). In this first season, we watch their relationship develop with fun plot twists, poignant moments and excellent humor all along the way. I randomly started watching this series after listening to a podcast (see Listening below), but I clearly made a great choice as Jean Smart just won an “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series” Emmy for her role in “Hacks” last Sunday night.
