Knitting

Knit one, pearl two. Feeling like my Nanny Reva, and inspired by my friend Jamie who gifted me needles, yarn and a manual, I am knitting a hat. Another knitter friend, Leah, has tutored me as well and now I’m really making progress and truly enjoying the relaxing, kind of monotonous click/click of the needles as my baby pink beanie grows. I knit at the airport, I knit on the plane, in the car, in front of the TV. I like the challenge of learning a new skill and the therapeutic benefits of creating something from nothing. My little pink beanie will have many imperfections in the end, but it will have provided me much joy - both making it and hopefully wearing it.
