Marrakech

I just returned from a marvelous week in Morocco and highly recommend this destination. We went as part of an organized group trip - 16 of us - and I was one of the organizers.  What I loved: La Mamounia Hotel - absolutely one of the nicest properties we have experienced perfectly located in the medina (old city); the beautiful handcrafted architectural and design detail evident throughout the city; the warmth of the people from our guides to the families we met to the restaurant servers; hiking in the Atlas Mountains which look like the Swiss Alps with trail-heads just 1.5 hours from the hotel.  As a francophile, I loved speaking French as that is their second language and while we got a little tired of tagines, the food is delicious and healthy.  We used VLX Travel to help plan the trip and I’m happy to assist as well!
