“Shark Tank” Here I Come
I should have made millions by now with my incredible product - The Allergy Card. For years, every time we went out for dinner, Mitch would recite his 5 food allergies to the waiter. The waiter would write them down and hopefully by the time it got to the chef, they would be communicated accurately. One day, I made a little allergy alert card for Mitch from a template I found on the internet. I covered it with clear tape to make it sturdy and he keeps it in his wallet. Easy. Simple. Doesn’t everyone with food allergies do this? Apparently not. Almost without exception, from Boston to Dubai to Sydney, waiters are amazed by the allergy card and are forever thankful (“I’ve never seen that!” they say). They simply hand it to the chef and return it to Mitch by the end of the meal. Everyone feels confident that Mitch will not have an allergic reaction because nothing has been lost in translation (yes, you can translate the allergens into many languages on the site if you’re traveling). Now how do I turn my little innovation into a marketable product? Comments welcome!
