Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art

Admittedly you have not seen a book recommendation here in awhile as I haven’t been inspired by anything I’ve read until now. Breath by James Nestor is fascinating because he personally researches and subjects his own body to various forms and techniques of breath work from going two weeks with his mouth taped shut to experimenting with inhaling copious amounts of carbon dioxide. The reader benefits from the author’s 10 year breath project whether you have a breathing “problem” or not. Turns out breathing certain ways can be beneficial (or detrimental) to your health and longevity. Shout out to Adrian for his recommendation!
