“City of Night Birds”

Thank you Susan V. for recommending this lovely novel by Juhea Kim. “City of Night Birds” tells the dramatic story of Russian ballerina Natalia Leonova, and her ascent, descent and potential comeback in the competitive world of professional ballet. Juhea Kim educates the reader about dance without being overly technical, and has a firm grasp on character development and how to make their relationships and interactions believable.  It’s much more than a beach novel and has you wondering until the end whether Natalia will triumph once again or fall from grace. Reece’s Book Club recommends it along with me.
