“Slow Horses”

I have been meaning to write about this incredibly well made British series for awhile, but Oscar Season got in the way. The show focuses on “Slough House”, where failed MI5 spies are demoted and forgotten about…until the cast of characters in Seasons 1 - 4 start to involve themselves in some crazy cases. Gary Oldman is stellar as Jackson Lamb, the head of Slough House - an unkempt, flatulent, pithy genius. Kristin Scott Thomas plays the Deputy Director of MI5 with high ambition to be “First Desk”. The entire cast is truly full of characters that will make you laugh, cry and feel the thrill of watching the good guys go after the bad guys. Start “Slow Horses” now before Seasons 5 and 6 are released.  Pro tip: Accents are strong - turn on subtitles.
