“America’s Sweethearts”

I was a cheerleader in 9th grade (“Go Hornets Go!”) so I do have a soft place in my heart for the pom squad.  But no matter your view on cheering, you are going to love this docu series on the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders (the DCC for short).  It’s a truly fascinating case study that highlights the vision of its leaders, the high standards they uphold, and the magic/passion that nearly all of the women who have been a DCC or hope to be a DCC have for the organization.  When you realize that members of the DCC have “real jobs” during the day and then put in hours upon hours of work for practices, games and appearances (for essentially minimum wage), you can’t help but applaud them.  The fact that they all look like beauty contestants and are incredibly talented dancers will also cause you to binge watch America’s Sweethearts and cheer “Go Cowboys Go!”
