When is it time to gracefully bow out from an annual ritual?  Is it “right” to keep doing something just because you’ve always done it?  Top of mind for me is sending out my annual holiday card with family photo and update.  It seemed super cute and necessary to do when those four little rascals were going through the multitude stages of childhood development.  But now, all in their 20’s, their looks haven’t changed much and while their lives are full, they are indeed adults focusing on one - maybe two - things.  Leading with my heart and not with my head, I am still inspired to write about our family. Amidst my empty-nester hyper-busy travel schedule, I plan to send the Roberts Family Update by snail mail. But for you Bookmarkers, here is a sneak preview and the start of a new ritual - using digital technology to distribute my annual musing. Hoping 2023 is a “royal flush” for each of you!
