Kill Bill

I recently watched both volumes of the “Kill Bill” movies and I can promise you that I never thought I would. But this being Covid times with more family members around, I decided to go with the flow and watch what I thought would be a gory, scary and unappealing movie. I was dead wrong. Though made in 2003, volumes 1 and 2 are a timeless, thoughtful and original creation that meld martial arts, spaghetti westerns and cool futuristic stylization. Okay, there is a little blood and gore but it’s more amusing than disdainful. Quentin Tarantino is a brilliant writer/director. Uma Thurman is captivating.
