Levain Bakery
I was trying to think of a food product that is not homemade, but one I get excited about giving as well as receiving. Then it dawned on me - Levain Bakery cookies. My kids first introduced me to them when Levain had just a few units in NYC. Started in 1995, the bakery is now growing rapidly, with nearly 20 locations spread across the U.S. and more to come. The cookies are thick, chewy, gooey and freshly made - outrageously good with every bite. I am literally salivating as I type this wondering if I should stop by the Back Bay location on my way home. Answer: Hell yeah! I’ll get one for my friend (the excuse) and one for me.
