“Be Ready When the Luck Happens”

Ina Garten’s memoir is nothing I would have naturally gravitated toward -- I wasn’t a die-hard Ina Garten recipe follower after all.  But the book was a gift and I was intrigued by her story after hearing her speak.  Turns out her book was a page-turner for me as I loved learning how she went from working in DC for the Federal Power Commission to becoming a celebrity cook publishing multiple books and television shows. Her professional story alongside her personal story is captivating because she tells it like it is -- both the highs and the lows of which there are plenty.  It is a love story as well, featuring her husband of 56 years, Jeffrey.
