“The Lincoln Highway”
Amor Towles, author of “The Gentleman of Moscow” and “Rules of Civility” has penned a riveting tale once again. “Lincoln Highway” is an adventure story and its pure pleasure for the reader to tag along with the cast of characters from start to finish. Emmet, his two buddies and his little brother set off on a road trip down the Lincoln Highway - the first transcontinental highway for automobiles in the U.S. - but there are many digressions that result in a fun and complex story. Towles knows how to develop characters, flaws and all, and he also knows how to write dialog. It’s a sweet book, a quick read and a joyous ride.
