Midnight Library
The premise of this fictional work was wholly unique and very well crafted. Throughout our lives, we make endless decisions - some big and some small. What if you had gone to a different college? What if you had gone on a date with that person instead of turning them down? What if you had chosen to play the violin instead of the piano? In the book, Nora gets to actually experience several different versions of her life in the “Midnight Library” with Mrs. Elm (Nora’s childhood librarian) as her guide. In addition to simply being entertained by the story, I found it deeply thought-provoking. Are we happy with the twists and turns our lives have taken? Do we have regrets and how deeply does that impact our ability to live in the moment?
