Seared Miso Shrimp & Asparagus

Since I have a huge tub of miso in my fridge and only use a tablespoon or two at a time, I love finding recipes that incorporate it.  Holiday season can mean a lot of parties and heavy eating/drinking.  On quiet nights at home, I like to cook lighter and not spend too much time prepping dinner.  From Melissa Clark’s “Dinner in One” (you may get tired of me mentioning this cookbook but so far, every recipe is a winner), I made this delicious, nutritious and easy recipe.  While I didn’t use any sesame (for fear of killing my husband), the flavor profile is high with miso, honey, ginger and lime juice giving it a sweet, fresh taste.
