Sounds like…

Apologies if you can’t relate to my Musing this week because you are too young and your brain is still fully intact. But just so you know what’s coming your way when you reach your mid-50’s, a new life game develops similar to Charades. While out for dinner with another couple the other night, it literally took four of us five minutes to remember the name of a restaurant in Cambridge. It played out something like this: “Oh, oh what was that restaurant we loved?” - “Oh yeah, the one in Cambridge...it’s something like Evoo but it’s not” - “I think it serves Persian food???” - “Or does it start with an “O”? - And then the lucky winner - in this case, Mitch - says with great pride as the elusive word finally rises to the top: “Oleana!”. At this point, all four of us feel both relief and pride that together, we finally remembered that damn word. In many cases, the word never comes to you or it finally does rise to the top 24 hours late. Sounds Like...could be the next Mattel game: Age 55+ , Four Players, Object: Whoever remembers the word first wins!
