Swedish Apple Pie by Amy Traverso

Thanksgiving is next week and if you love apple pie but a) you are scared to make a crust or b) you have no time to make a crust, then this is the recipe for you.  It has all the benefits of a delicious sweet, crusty pie and  none of the hassle. With only 7 ingredients and 20 minutes of active prep time, the pie tastes so good, your  “customers” will think you spent hours on it.  The secret is that there is no bottom crust and the top crust is a super simple  pastry recipe that is spooned on.  (Note:  I used salted butter, a 9” deep pie dish and cut my apples into wedges which worked fine).
