Sweet Caroline…
I’ll be the first to admit that I jump on the bandwagon once my teams make it to the play-offs, and thus the Red Sox have my full attention. For this MLB team to go from last place last year to playing the Astros in the ALCS is truly impressive. At press time, the Sox are tied with the Astros in the series 2-2 and I was fortunate to attend game 3 at Fenway where we pummeled the Houston team 12-3. The game itself was entertaining albeit slow, but the energy, personalities and general mayhem in the park were just as special. We had the very tall college basketball buddies in front of us catching every ball thrown into the stands with one hand while holding a brewski in the other. We had the scary drunk behind us who continuously screamed obscenities at Astros players, the umpires, whomever. And then there was the endearing couple next to me with whom I talked about weekends in Napa and how they met on Bumble. Between the Red Sox grand slams and my fun encounters in the field box, good times never felt so good, so good, so good!
