Chapter 3 - The Move

We began our newlywed life together in the city. We raised the 4 kids in the ‘burbs. Now back to the city we shall go. Mitch and I are ready to experience urban life once again and create a new nest for our family. But selling the home where our children grew from babies to adults is not easy; it is in fact very difficult to go through all the drawers, closets, desks and photographs that trigger wonderful memories and dispose of much of it. Getting what you (think) you want - a condo in the city - brings much joy, but also much emotion and stress as we say goodbye to a very profound and vibrant life chapter. As I ready the home for photos, broker walk-throughs and potential buyers, it is clutter free but also rather lifeless. This period of limbo is unsettling as we wait to sell one home and move into another, but I am certain it is the right move for us. I promise we have beds for all our kids to visit and there will be plenty of room for new memories to be made.
