Marie Kondo

I am neat but have a tendency to build up cluttered closets and cupboards over time. Fortunately, a friend gave me Marie Kondo’s book just as I started to “cleanse” my house in order to sell it. It was life-changing and gave me the mindset I needed to keep what sparked joy and discard the rest. The KonMari method is highly effective as it made me understand why it is okay to discard/donate/sell things that don’t make me happy (any longer). The book is an easy, fast read and amusing at times - like when she describes how good your socks will feel if you don’t roll them up into balls. It gave me the courage to declutter and it gives me immense pleasure to be in a home that is organized and contains only items that I truly love.
