Tumeric-Black Pepper Chicken
Winner, winner chicken dinner! The cooking effort (low) to resulting flavor profile (high) is a fantastic ratio! Easy to make, very complex in taste. Turmeric was a new ingredient for me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But the mix of sweet and earthy in this all-in-one recipe is what makes it unique. A few changes I made were adding just a smidge of red pepper flakes to the honey mixture to add a little zing, and using a tad less honey than called for. Mitch and I ate the whole thing, so don’t count on feeding four people as stated in the recipe. The golden color of the turmeric and the green of the asparagus present very well too.
