Huntington Theatre Company

We have literally been in the audience applauding Boston’s leading professional theater company - The Huntington (HTC) - for nearly 30 years. Led by Michael Maso since its inception, the HTC has stood the test of time bringing in top-rated actors and production crews as well as new and classic works. They also do impressive community outreach exposing thousands of students to theater every year. We just had the pleasure of seeing Toni Morrison’s “The Bluest Eye”, her debut novel adapted for stage by Lydia Diamond. The difficult themes of abuse, bullying and racism were presented in poetic prose and song in a theater in the round making it a communal experience. The HTC has widened my theater vocabulary greatly and for that I give them a standing ovation!
