“I Am Pilgrim”

Spy/suspense novels are not typically my cup of tea, and I honestly didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I bought this book.  Someone recommended it to me (and I’m sorry I don’t remember who) and now I wholeheartedly recommend it to you! Terry Hayes, the author, is a master storyteller and perhaps a former secret agent - how he knows all those spy and terrorist tactics, I have no idea.  He tells the stories of a fundamentalist with a chip on his shoulder, a secret government operative and how their paths ultimately cross.  Let’s just say the world might end if the protagonist fails to carry out the mission (I won’t mention his name as he has several).  It’s long, it’s a page-turner and it’s convinced me that I like this genre.
