ICA - Boston
My Boston museum trifecta is complete. I recently visited the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, the MFA and just yesterday, went to the Institute of Contemporary Art in the Seaport. My friend, and the Director of Development, Katrina Foster, gave me a guided tour through the exhibits as she provided insights and facts about the art and the artists. The beauty of the ICA is multifold: its location on the Boston Harbor affords breathtaking views, the museum is intimate with all the exhibits conveniently situated on one floor, and the artists represented are truly diverse. In fact, Simone Leigh, whose “Cupboard IX (2019)” sculpture is featured in the photo, will be the first black woman to represent the U.S. at the Venice Biennale; the ICA is very honored to be curating the exhibit in April 2022.
